I was very proud when our ministry launched 1 By Youth at Simply Youth Ministry Conference last month (Doug Fields announcement was posted here a couple days ago). We’re very excited about this national one-day service event. The first 2 locations are this spring in Manassas, VA on April 24 and Indianapolis on May 1. I would love for every youth group from the Indy and DC areas to participate. The dream is to have over 1,000 people transform an entire neighborhood in each community in one day (the bigger dream is to have 1,000,000 teenagers serving some day…). In order for a dream like that to happen, it has to be easy…. So, 1 By Youth is only $29 and you can register your group now (so we know exactly how many people to prepare for) and pay the day of the event.
To help get as many involved as possible, we’ve giving away 10 free registrations. Simply leave a comment to this post between now and April 7. On April 7 a winner will be selected. I’m pretty pumped to be able to bring my Youth from Noblesville to the East side of Indianapolis. I want them to have an opportunity to work along side other Youth and build some new relationships. We are focusing on local mission work and 1 By Youth is a great way for us to kick off our Summer. This opportunity makes me feel like we’re on God’s track. Thanks!
I am so glad to see a one day mission. I have trouble getting youth to attend even a weekend mission with their busy schedules. I think that this is very doable. I hope to get my group registered. I’ll let them know that service is very important to colleges and scholarships. Thanks for giving me a chance to involve my youth.
I have been looking for something to get our youth more involved in the community and with other youth groups that are sharing the message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I recently took over working with the Youth at our church and feel that this is an opportunity of a lifetime for our youth to be involved and share with other youth around the state as well as other states. I am excited and pumped up about this all and pray that we get the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. Our youth have only recently started back up and they are ready, willing and able for God to do a new thing in their lives. Our motto for the year 09/10 is “It’s about the Jesus in Me.” It is my responsibility to create opportunities for them to put this motto in action and I believe this is the venue to do just that with other youth their age who are just as excited about praising and worshipping God. Thank you so very much for the opportunity and we look forward to this awesome experience.

When we heard about 1 By Youth at the SYMC in Chicago, we knew it was a key piece we were looking for in our ministries. I’m really excited to use it as a bridge in serving between our middle school group and our high school group. It’s going to be great!
